Named after Bhim Rao Ambedkar, BHIM app is a government's initiative which has been launched to facilitate e-payments directly via banks and simplify cashless transactions. It is available for download in Google Play Store.

Using BHIM App (Bharat Interface for Money App), you can send and receive money instantly to your PPF Account through your mobile registered with your bank account. It is a secured network using which you can transfer money 24X7. BHIM App supports all those Indian banks which use platform built over the IMPS infrastructure. It can be used on all mobile phones.

BHIM App (Bharat Interface for Money App) supports 13 languages including Hindi & English.

You can perform following transaction using BHIM App:

  1. Check Balance: You can check your bank balance.
  2. Custom Payment Address: Apart from mobile number, you are free to create custom addresses.
  3. QR Code: You can scan QR code and transfer the money in fast way. For those users who do not want to reveal their mobile phone numbers, can generate a QR code from the app which can be scanned by the sender to make the payment.
  4. Send Money: Send money to other beneficiary from your account.
  5. Receive Money: Request to Receive Money from other person to your account.
  6. Scan & Pay: You can scan the QR code and send the money.
  7. Transaction Limit: It varies from bank to bank for example HDFC bank allows maximum of Rs 1 Lakh using BHIM App.

How to Transfer Money to PPF account Using BHIM App?

Outlined below is a step-by-step process of How to Transfer Money to PPF account Using BHIM App:

For doing so, you must have BHIM App installed on your Mobile and have registration with it. If you do not have BHIM App, you have to download and install it from Google Play store or Apple App store. Now perform following step-by-step process of How to Transfer Money to PPF account Using BHIM App:

  1. Click on "Send" Option
  2. Click on "A/C+IFSC"
  3. Choose the name of the bank where you hold your PPF Account
  4. Fill up the following details at the space provided on the next screen:
  5. Bank IFSC Code
  6. Beneficiary Name
  7. Account Number
  8. Click on "Send" after filling up all the above mentioned details
  9. On next screen fill the
  10. Amount, Remarks(optional), and check the box of "Save for future" (this will save the details with the nickname so you can transfer in future by just clicking on nickname).
  11. Click on Pay
  12. Confirm to Pay screen will be opened showing name of beneficiary, last 4 digit of his/ her account number, amount to be transferred and Remarks (Optional). You need to recheck all the details. You can edit the details or confirm the same.
  13. Click on Confirm
  14. Enter the UPI PIN
  15. It will show a message "Money Sent" along with transaction id & Date/ Time of Transfer

Important Note for Transfer Money to PPF account Using BHIM App

There is also an option in BHIM App named "Raise Concern" where you can raise a support ticket by clicking on this option for any concern or query related with the payment. It will show the contact phone number and Email id for getting your concern solved.
